Heavy armor can't tank

Fortified > Heavy > Medium > Light.

but in this game, everyone know heavy armor can't tank, why this happen ?

when I look at the damage table, I notice medium armor have +30% net total while heavy armor onyl have +10%. why ?

I was thinking how to balance it this way: Light < Medium < Heavy < Fortified + Unarmoured + Ethernal. I am afraid what these changes can do so I will not do anything with old armour types yet, it's too slippery. Definiatelly I will add Ethernal type some time, maybe also Godlike and Hero but not so soon.

Yup. Heavy armor is worse than medium armor, especially when dealing with levels 7 and 8. Many people lose on those levels because they upgrade heavy armor towers.

@ go anon - very nice table Smile. There are a few other important variables which need to be included in the calculation. i.e. a weighted avg depending on number of pierce,magic,normal and siege damage waves. i.e. there are only a few waves that do siege damage in the 31 levels. off hand I think its only level 6,11,17,22 (forgotten if 28 is fortified armour and siege damage or just fortified armour) Fortified+Piercing as far as I remember . So for example fortified armour is even stronger when adding this variable in.

Another important variable is the difficulty of the levels. Like you pointed out lots of games end on waves 7 and 8, so medium armour is better on those levels.But on levels like 14 and 15 which are also game enders heavy armour is better. So maybe pick 10 of the most difficult levels and include that in your calculations in order to get a true reflection of the best - worst armour types.
